What a great idea for a theme party. An opportunity for all IVC PVC enthusiasts to indulge their passion, and for the vinyl virgins to discover just what all the fuss is about.
As the guests arrived, all were eager to show off their records of choice. From Garys impressive and extensive (and no doubt valuable) classic rock album collection to Tinas bargain bucket Betty Boo LP, the variety was fantastic. Soon the platters were playing and the drinks were flowing and things were beginning to warm up nicely when suddenly, it all went Pete Tong! The record player malfunctioned and the party was now as tuneless as Robbie Williams. At any lesser venue this could have been a show-stopper, but fortunately Roger produced a new turntable from goodness knows where and Martin pulled off a bit of technical wizardry, so we were raving again with not one, but two, Superstar DJs!
DJ Roger versus MC Martin Chaplin (dubbed MC by Louise geddit?) were soon going at it head to head like Smashy and Nicey on E and the dance floor was jumping until the wee small hours. Hazel was being the hostess with the mostess (as always) and dishing out pizza to all the revellers now you dont get that at Ministry of Sound! Much wine and beer was quaffed and when the room was spinning at 45rpm we knew it was time to leave.
Thanks to Hazel and Louise for another excellent party which was quite literally poptastic mate!
