BRADFORD - Casino, Curry and Museum

What a day! Really good fun from start to finish, expertly organised by Suzie D.

Having never been to Bradford the whole experience was a real adventure for me, we travelled by train through flooded countryside, then took a bus from Leeds. Any weekend train journey always feels like a proper day-out and this was no exception!

The day was really well planned, starting with curry, in the middle a museum and ending with a trip to the casino, where btw I won £20!

The curry was sublime, cheap and plentiful - we all rolled out as there was bags of food. Had about an hour at the museum checking out pics of movie stars, showing how gorgeous glamourous-ness had (and hadn't) changed since the good ol'days of the flicks, and watching short clips of iconic tv moments - and visiting the real Humpty, Hamble, Jamima, Little and Big Ted - the actual real ones - looking ok, bit dusty, but then they must be 30?

Then off into the imax to watch a 3d film about dinosaurs, and yes, I admit, when it first came on I put my hand out to try and touch the monsters coming out of the screen. Suzie kindly provided us all with sweetie-treats to munch thro the film.

After the movie, over to the casino just round the corner for the canniest bit of jiggery-pokery ever seen (Suzie will have to explain) and I suddenly found myself 20 pounds richer!!

An excellent day, a fun-filled itineary, great company, and I won! what more could anyone want from a Bradford adventure?!
