The Yorkshirevision Pudding Contest

York Food Festival finished on a high with the YorkshireVision Pudding Contest. The organisers obviously recognized our VIP status as we were seated at Table 1 and always served first. We began with roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. Drinks were included, which was an unexpected bonus. Then came the serious business of judging 8 different puddings. It was tough comparing Christmas pudding with chocolate brownie, but somehow we produced our top 4 ranking. Votes were announced Eurovision-style table by table. Bakewell tart scored nil points, and the winner was creme brulee. I can't think of many better ways to spend Sunday afternoon. Thanks to Debbie and Alison for hosting a great event.
