Summer Party

How lucky were we to have a dry summer party after all the rain we've been having? Most people sat outside for part of the evening or certainly went out to collect their food off the barbie.

And what a classy venue. Someone or some people had been very busy blowing up balloons for each of the tables, I had to remind myself it wasn't a wedding do! The food was not bad at all (of course it's extremely difficult to follow Paul's fare so nothing could be quite as good!) and the chocolate torte was an absolute hit with everyone I spoke to who had it.

The music was good until someone somehow managed to stand on the cable which resulted in a much reduced volume so we got to hear the women literally strutting their stuff as they enjoyed dancing loudly in their summer sandles! All was not lost, it gave us all a chance to chat to people. I have to say it was great to see a good turn out and catch up with lots of people's news.

I for one thoroughly enjoyed the evening and would like to thank all those people involved in organising it and making it such a success.
