Sunday, 8th January 2012

Despite there only being myself joining Jenny this event was a success. It was the first time I had been in Kennedy's but I had heard the jazz drifting down the street on a Sunday a few times and had been itching to take a look.
We both had a excellent beetroot and goats cheese salad (great tip... [more]

It may have been in the diary for 11 months, but in just 5 1⁄2 hours the Christmas Party came and went for another year. It was great to see so many people there and it was a real mix of established and new members. For those who’ve been before hopefully it was one to remember, while ... [more]

The Middle of the Summer Wine

Friday, 12th August 2011

This season’s wine tasting was a little smaller than previous affairs, bringing a little balance to the last, which was a monster by all accounts. The smaller scale allowed Chris to let loose his passion for French wines and those there enjoyed something a little bit special.

Despite the geo... [more]

As we gathered at the train station there was a feeling of tempered optimism in the air, t-shirts and summer dresses were the order of the day while waterproofs provided a passing nod to the weather forecast. Much fun and frivolity was had to see in the New Year at Kevin’s high-tec newly refurbed abode. Go-karting in winter? Luckily York has an indoor karting arena where you can race in the dry and relative warmth.
